My car is burning coolant also. I just fill it up every morning. It is only burning about a cup or half a cup a day. so yeah. Check the head gasket it could be a bunch of things. Do you have to crank it a while for it to start?

if it's a small leak in your radiator system then you can buy aluminum oxide dust/ ground up aluminum, at any auto parts store for cheap, and pour that into your radiator and run it for a bit and that usually is an easy fix. i did it in my truck and it sealed up the leak i had and never leaked again. so it's a cheap fix, other wise you should find the leak and braze it shut. or have someone do that for you...

^^ Is that what you say in every thread?

Ok, go thru the basics first, start the car over concrete or blacktop,

Look for leaks, It could be something simple, or it could be pretty bad.

Just depends, could be pletny of things,

As our cars get old hoses begin to crack,

also could be the seal on your water pump, that happened on my old integra, WP went bad and it dripped from there and down the crank shaft pully

Just take out your thermostat, disconnect the upper rad hose and put a hose in the rad, turn the hose on for awhile and bam, all flushed out.

I had this problem once before and it sounds like you have a leak somewhere in your cooling system. from the symptons you describe it was quite similar to mine. I replaced my heater core and that fixed the problem. Check for leaks in your system.

I am slowly losing coolant also. My heater started to get cold at idle and would warm up when the revs came up. Could i be the heater core? Have you checked your oil or radiator for any mixed coolant/oil?

yea and they also half-*** it and charge you 3x the price if you did it yourself.

if you want something done right, do it yourself

look for leaks in your radiator and radiator hoses, then move to your water pump and see if thats leaking. `
