Moving the alt. on a B16

Default Moving the alt. on a B16

Has any one ever moved the alternator to where the power steering sits....we were looking at it yesterday we think it will work just need a belt any one else thought of this? Good idea or bad idea

It might work. Thats how H series is. I had to cut my headlight bucket on my K for my alternator. It should work though.

why would you want to do this? They only got out every few years.

why dent in your engine bay if you can just move it and if you ever had to replace the alt it would be a bitch because It would be all close to the bay so why not just move it

Very good points. You might also want to look into putting it down where the AC was. That might have more room.

Ill look into it further today and give some reports it might be till tomorrow but its a very slow process sorta ran outta money to finish the swap so might take longer then I thought
