What do dealers use the cars on their lot for?
I noticed a destination fee on all of the car dealership websites. What if I get one of the cars that is parked on the dealers lot? If they don't sell those then what are they used for? Are all those cars demos?
All new cars have a destination fee. It is mandated by the U.S. Government.
A demo car is one that has never been titled, but probably has less than 5k miles on it. people at the dealership probably drove it around for awhile; usually floor managers or owners take these cars for a couple weeks at a time.

my local honda dealer has 1 fit on the lot, its their demo car so somebody can come by and drive it and they can order one from the factory if they like it, they cannot sell that car but its a silver base model anyways
so who wants it
i went by yestarday wanting to start talking about getting myself into a new sport fit, but i think im going to shoot for a brand new element for a couple grand more
the base model they wanted 17k for it, which for that price i canget a brand new element lx for.
the fully loaded/fulley painted ex-p is about 19k, the only reason im going from lx to ex-p is the side curtain airbags/fully painted body, i dont care about the oem keyless/mp3 jack and all that jazz

I think before I would just settle on a car that's available I'd check around for another dealer w/ a more realistic price for the Fit. $17,000 for a Base? I don't think so -- tell em to go to hell.
well the problem in the northwest is that the only fit besides the base model demo in vancouver is up in seattle i dont know if they even have any to sell up there though,
i dont know if i would call it settling, i would call it getting a better deal on a bigger car, which is exactly what it is, fits and civics and **** fly off the dealer lot so i can get a great deal on pilot/accord/element
a fully loaded element for maybe 3 grand more than a msrp on a fit sport is a great deal for an upgrade, especialy considering you wont find "unmarkedthefuckup" fits in the northwest
