Default The New Crosstour?

Hello Folks,

I am looking at the new 2012 Crosstour EX-L, and I was wondering if any of you good people have any feedback, positive or negative, about the Crosstour?

I would like to see if I can get one in a 6 speed.

Thoughts, comments?

Not much to say. IMO, the car sits 3 inches too high. Great choice if you like it.

My bride has a lot of disabilities, and I was looking at the trunk space and how it might be easier for her to get stuff in and out. So the height, in this application, might be a bonus, huh?

I live in a small town, and our Honda dealer isn't really motivated to sell cars. There are about 11 new cars on his lot right now, and he tells me that he won't get any cars until some time in September!

Really? you can't go to a major city, and buy some from them, and fill your lot? Geez!

If he has a Crosstour you can test drive, and definitely like, and he checks you out and knows for an absolute certainty that you will be able to buy the car whenever you want, then he would probably look around an extended area of a couple of hundred miles around to try to find you the car you want.

If he doesn't know you very well, and has no idea that you have the actual financial wherewithal to either write a cheque or get Honda Finance done on the day of contract, then he's not going to be very motivated.

It might just be a matter of letting him get to know you better.

As far as the Crosstour itself goes, they have typical Accord reliability. It's just that they're high off the ground and kind of ugly. Make sure that face is one that you can live with for an extended period!

There are no six-speed V6 Accords, although the upcoming K Motor Crosstour might be available with a six speed.

I have a 10 year relationship with them, after having bought tons of parts, and two new cars from them. He knows I can get a car loan from my credit union, within 24 hours, and have, so that isn't a problem.

And no, he doesn't have a Crosstour. He has mostly Civics, a few Accords, and a few CR-Vs. The generic models.

I will have to go to my major city if I want to look at one, in person.

I may try this weekend.

Love my 2011 crosstour. Having a minor issue at present with cooling fan stay on when cold.
However, we bought 2 of them, other one is ok. dealer will correct.

It's not just pulling it around, it's pulling it around with an autobloodymatic, unfortunately.

At least it's a double wishbone car. :-)

My wife and I were looking at a crosstour but we decided on a 12' Acura TSX Sportwagon with the tech package, much nicer car imo.
