Default Factory Alarm(Intgera)

Ok i did alot of searching last night and found some good info but have a few questions. With the stock unit which remotes can i use, the guy at acura wanted almost $500, he said they had to take apart the dash for the brain. The p/n is 08E51-ST7-2M0-02. Also for programming w/ some of our cars you need stock radio but the teg does not have that button so im hoping you dont need it.

Thanks for the help

The only question I saw in your post was which remotes to use with a factory alarm. Factory remotes can be found on ebay for $25-$50.

What were your other questions?

As far as I know, you only need the stock radio with 96-98 Civics.

And yes, a Honda remote should work.

First I would like to say is, Save your money, And go buy a aftermarket alarm and get it installed. Your factory alarm is like heaven to a car theif. Most look for factory alarms. But if you are going to go the factory route. Please do this, and everybody else that depends on a factory alarm on tegs and civics. You need to relocate the factory horn. The factory horn is to easy to get to. esp on hondas's. All the theif is goin to do is stick his or her- yes I said her. hands under the passenger side bummper and unplug it. Its the same for civics too. presto no alarm horn. And it won't set off the alarm to unplug it too.

I really just want the keyless for now and it would only be about 20$ to get that to work.

I am just saying that if you are looking for security don't put your eggs in that basket. There is none thing wrong about having just keyless entry,
