Default may be switching to honda

ok here is my question as of now i own a jdm swapped 1991 mr-2(1998 motor and tail lights) i was thinking of selling this and going honda(car is getting kinda boring always wanted a honda to make a good name for them most around here are considerd "rice") my question is this (btw i do love the mr-2 and has a mediocore amount of mods a.k.a 320rwhp)
1) what is the best car and engine to do a turbo motor in ( i will be buying a good body and swapping a new jdm motor) i was thinking a civic and i belive a b18c non v-tec to turbo
2) or should i go the other way and do a all motor honda (same steps as above just either a integra or civic and swapping it) basically i was going more to the all motor i lovvveeeee how honda sound when they rev, but i have been looking online these type r motors are rediculeous they cost more then my whole swap for the 1998 motor (labor and engine price and the custom work to it)witch is why i was considering turbo because b18c...are cheap as hell and i could just buy forged pistons and a kit for it

i am sure there are ways to make a all motor honda without the use of a type r motor please inform me about these sorry for all the questions but i really would love to have a sterotype so called "rice" car and demolish most around here(not alot race the mr-2....it is boring, everyone would race a civic or integra

btw. sorry for posting it in here i diddent really know where to put this topic on these fourms just found them

B18c motors are vtec. So are the B16.
B18a, B18b, B20b, B20z are non vtec.

My advice is to get a B20b as a starting point. Relatively cheap/easy to find. Large displacement helps off boost. If you're going to boost anythng over 5lbs, you'll want to fortify internals.

And fwd and big boost = traction issues. Seriously consider buying a LSD equipped transmission.

i would just get a b16 cheap good power plant and more reliable than ls vtec

and i have only heard bad things about b20s and boost so i wouldent do the b20 boost

but it is ur car soo do what u do

B20's are extremely weak. If you plan on boosting one, I highly suggest you sleve it.

But if you spend the money (3500 for a b20 vtec thats been sleeved and has rods\pistons, plus turbo costs), it'll be a beast. As in, traction issues no matter where you are.

I always wanted to get a Turbo MR2, someday when i find one that is in decent shape I will get it but in all honesty if you are looking big power stay witht he MR2 RWD is going to always be great...yea I love hondas, love the CRX to death but you gotta know that there is a limit and believe th facts and not just say my civic has 800hp and its fast

If you do go honda I would suggest either a CRX just for the fact of how light it is and can be or a 92-95 civic because of how easy a B swap could be, or a maybe a 94-01 Integra but I light the civic with a B motor better than a Teg Keep a goal an aim for specific numbers and you will know what you need to get there, I like a B swap boosted CRX Give us some goals and we can help, I also say stay away from the B20 for boost, but in the end money is also a factor

He's local to me and theft isn't a huge problem around here. If you're going turbo just get an LS motor turbo it tune it and be done with it.

On a side note though, you are in illinois so anything but a boosted d series will be blasphemy
