Default Transmission weight?

anyone know the weight of a D-series transmission. I plan on picking one up, but wasn't sure if i'd be able to carry it myself...anyone know? thanks in advance.

u should be able to pick it up....i've pick up several d series trans myself..its quite heavy..but if your big, built u shouldnt have a problem carrying it..i say it weighs some where close to 70-90lbs...maybe 1XXlbs..never really weighted one..but its quite heavy..o yeah..DONT USE YOUR BACK to carry it..back pain sucks *****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i carried an accord a20 auto tranny by myself and im sure that weighs more than a d series manual, im sure u can do it

I'm 5' 10" and weigh 169 lbs. and can curl my CRX manual tranny with one arm!!! I also enjoy arm wrestling and long walks on the beach.

If im in a good mood and feelin strongz then i can pick it up with my mech gloves on with one hand in the starter hole while not bumpin it into my leg, lol.

I'm short, wimpy, and lazy and I can carry a d-series tranny. a skateboard works good for a b or h tranny

60 lbs. 70 lbs shipped.

not the easiest thing to lift, but its not hard or impossible. unless you got some disabled back, you dont need to worry.

You should try holding both the complete hub/spindle assembly knuckles in both hands.

I'm 6 foot tall and I weight about 140lbs and I move D series tranny around like it's a tire and I can do the same with b series tranny. Without the fluid they weigh about 10 lbs less. Make sure it's empty. I think the D series tranny must weigh about 60-70lbs empty. B series is about 90-100lbs. It's easy to pick up, carry them and hold them for a long distance is a PITA.

d-series transmission is 70lbs.

No not really but you should try lifting a B16 block by itself, i think those weigh maybe 140-150 pounds?.

D and B manula trannies are light Auto trans is a different story, now carrying a short block by yourself is a little different but 2 people can lift a short or long block no problem
