I'm 6 foot tall and I weight about 140lbs and I move D series tranny around like it's a tire and I can do the same with b series tranny. Without the fluid they weigh about 10 lbs less. Make sure it's empty. I think the D series tranny must weigh about 60-70lbs empty. B series is about 90-100lbs. It's easy to pick up, carry them and hold them for a long distance is a PITA.
D and B manula trannies are light
Auto trans is a different story, now carrying a short block by yourself is a little different but 2 people can lift a short or long block no problem
