how many people run a/c?
how many people with turbo hondas run a/c and have it honestly work worth a **** in the summer 90+ degrees outside? just trying to get some opinions before i decide to ditch it. anyone else experience overheating issues when retainig a/c?
When I got my car the a/c had already been thrown out...I'm considering buying a new a/c compressor just cause it's ridiculously hot this summer...keep it...you'll probably regret tossing it if it's hot where you live.

I've had mine turboed w/ a/c for 50k miles. I did have some overheating issues but thats back when I had the stock radiator. Havn't had a problem with the new koyo. It doesnt work as good as stock most likely because im using a slim fan on the condensor but if you keep it on recirculate it gets cold.

i'm asking these questions cuz when my car was running after turbo a/c didn't work worth a ****. i replaced the entire system and same result. it was like the condedsor or compressor just didnt work right cuz of all the under hood heat.

its likely that the condenser isnt getting enough airflow.

yeah i hear ya but i still had tha stock fan on the back side and a puser between the intercooler and condensor and yes they both were blowing the right direction. suggestions are most definatly welcome, but i got that one covered already, can u think of another cause?
Could be. My downpipe is touching the a/c compressor and it still is fine. You can buy a can of refrigerant at walmart, for $12 you can get the one with the connector piece on it so it hooks right up into your ac system, no tools required.
Id like to think that I have some great experience with this topic. (car in sig) I was goin through the same thing back when I boosted my hatch. Overheating was definitely an issue back then but not because of the ac,.... it was due to the stock radiator, put a Koyo on it and the overheating problem was solved. As far as the ac not working very well, I feel ya on that one. Mine doesnt work as good as Id like for it to but in south Ga (the humidity capitol of the world), you dont need ac to live, but it is just as important as,... oh I dont know,... oxygen. It was worse than it is now though. The issue I was having is that the IC was blocking flow to the condensor. This is how I remedied it.

Like I said,... It didnt TOTALLY fix the issue,,It did help a lot though. When Im driving down the road, even if it is 98 degrees outside, as long as Im moving the ac keeps me cool. Im gonna try and replace the compressor with a re-man and put a ek condensor on (they are a little more efficient than the eg's)
