i have a 93 acura vigor and the front of the camshaft broke whereas the rest is not spinning to operate the valves...this happened coming off of the highway.. today i had a mechanic look at it and he took the valve cover off and there was no bent valves and when he tried to start it he noticed that the camshaft didnt turn... he told me that i needed to buy a camshaft and have it replaced. will that fix my car..he checked the timing belt and timing and everything is good it is just the camshaft...is it fine to just replace that?

 

might as well do the timing belt and water pump while he is at it.
