alright well i drive a 97 ek with an jdm d15b vtec swap. when i turn my car in the mornin to drive it, it sometimes feels like its really weak and slow like its strugglin and sometimes it jerks. it does this like for 2 seconds then it goes bac to normal and feels fast again.it happens like once or twice each mornin. i have a CEl that only goes on sometimes after like 30 mins of drivin which is 1 and 10(o2 sensor and intake sensor) if that matters.it always had that CEL code on but it just started this jerking/weak feeling recently. what could be wrong?? please help..

also when i turn on my car, my idle is good i think. but my motor vibrates my whole car.. is that bad motor mounts?

 

my car was doing somthing similar, jeaking and weakness until i hit 3krpm. i took a look at my distributor coil and it was gray on some parts. it still worked, but not very well. after i changed it the weak/jerky went away. i would at least take a look at it too see if its white or gray anywhere on the plastic

 

same for me, my rotor was corroded, changed and know its fine

 

so.. it could be distributar wire or rotor or anythin? damn

 

someone pleasee helppp im hella scared to drive this car around. already blew my old motor . sorry i dont know much bout fixin motors

shifting gears and what not is fine? no difficulty grabbing gears or anything?

 

shifting gears are finee. its like im drivin at 20mph and i keep on gassin it but its stuck at 20mph like its strugglin and feelin hella weak for like couple seconds (while sometimes it jerks as well) then the feelin goes away and it feels fast again.

 

change you distributor cap and rotor

 

im tellin you man, remove the dis. coil and look at it, see if its gray on any parts. its only like 59$ for a new coil

 

What ECU are you using?

Are you using a P08 or P28 or an OBD 2 ECU?

I use a P28 on my JDM D15B and it boggs on the low end. Feels like it has nothing till about 3, but thats bc my A/F is jacked up. I have a chip burner and know how to use Crome Im just lazy...

Also since its throwing a CEL for your O2 its prolly running rich which makes it bogg and inconjunction with the IAT can cause bogging and fuel holes like the jerking.

Fix the CEL's first.

Edit also I missed the last part about your motor mounts, yes a broken mount can cause jerking.

 

alright well, i only got like 100$ to spend. should i buy a new o2 sensor? or should i get a tune up with distribuatr cap, rotor, sparkplugs etc.

 

well first of all, examine whats up with those codes
thats a huge clue,

have you checked your o2 and iat? and related wiring?

o2 will sometimes throw a code if theres something wrong with the cat as well..

though i'm not sure that's you're problem.

also you can take ur cap off the dizzy and examine the rotor inside..

 

alright, well my car doesnt have a cat, at least i dont think so? there isnt one under the car, everyone says i dont have a cat that checcd out my car, but its strange cuhz i baught my car completelyyy stockd ugly lookin. and i already baught a new AIT sensor cuhz my old one was fried but its stil throwin that code. my friends checkd all the wirings and there all wired up good. i always had the o2 sensor and ait CEL, but it jus recently started this problem. and im running an obd1 p28

cuz jdm d15b's come with a 1wire, and the p28 needs a 4wire o2

the orange stuff is not a good sign,
but it doesn't mean the dizzy is bad ..

 

oh.. well this motor came from my homies car . i remember my other friend checkd out my o2 and it had 4 wires. he had the p28 in his car and the same d15bswap. and his car had no CEL on. what do you think i should do? i was goin check the distributor coil but i dont really know how to mess with a distributar so i dont want to risk it. do you think it has to be somethin that has to do with my dizzy? and what does the orange sign mean?
