Default Are P13s and P28s "hot swappable?"

I have a P13 running in my Sol, the factory one that came with my H22A. I am looking to get my old P28 reprogrammed to emulate the P13 but without the EGR and knock sensors (and fuel cutoff). Could I just unplug one ECU and plug in the other? I'll admit that I didn't do the H22A swap myself, so I was wondering if this can be done that easily.

hot swapping would be swapping while the car is running. i wouldnt try that...lol. But if the car is off and the p28 is chipped for your application you dont need to do anything special to swap the ecu's. Just unplug the old one....plug in the new one....and start the car. I may have totally missed your question and sorry if that is the case.
