Default integra gurus please HELP!!!

i have a 91 LS completely stock. and one day about a month ago it wouldnt start. the car turns over and sounds like it wants to start but doesnt. when we changed the spark plugs the car started for about 30 min the died and wouldnt start again. when it did start we had to pump the gas so that it would stay on. if it idled it would almost die. heres a list of things that we have eliminated. battery, alternator, spark plugs, cap and rotor, timing belt, control module inside the distributor. i can also here that the fuel pump turns on. could this have something to do with the fuel pump or is it something else. PLEASE HELP i am completely out of ideas!!

have you done a compression test???

Also might want to try a new fuel filter, I doubt that is it, but it is one less thing to worry about.

the filter is only about $10-15 and is easy to change yourself. Just one less thing to go wrong

Have you checked your dizzy cap and rotor...Sounds like no spark or fuel...Can you hear you fuel pump, pumping when you turn the ignition key to on...? Sparkplug wires might help as well...

Narrow it down by pulling the spark plugs and seeing if they're wet with fuel... if they are you can rule out fuel and focus on the spark.

update:
changed the spark plugs wires!! no change.
check the spark plugs and there is a clear liquid on them that kinda smells like gas, so dont think it is a fuel problem.

the car also cranks over very slowly. could this be a starter problem??

thanks for the help.

it could be the main relay. its located under the driver side dash right by the steering column you need to remove that panel to get to it change that and you should be good to go

That same thing happened to me and it turned out to be the Distributor...

I even checked the alternator, fuel, plugs, wires, rotor and caps.
I was just not getting any spark at all.

So I checked the distributor out and that was it. So try and find one or buy one try it out, if it doesnt work return it.

ok if i have checked the control module inside the distributor doesnt that rule out distributor? i also checked it by taking out a spark plug wire and putting it to ground. i can see the spark jump.

i just woke up so bear with me on my crappy story telling

well what my situation was i installed 440cc injectors and had to drive it 2.5 hours up north from where i live to get my gsr tuned with hondata. well it had cranking issues and it was just all a mess, anyways i get to crank and drive it up north to the shop to get it re checked ect ect. car is checked and a new basemap is loaded for the injectors , then i try to crank it doesn turn over, , i try over and over, i checked my injectors and plugs thought they were bad or something, they were fine. i try to crank it again over and over doesn turn, were just like wtf, so we drink some coronas, few mins later the tuner checks my dis and coil, the coil is burnt to ****. so hes like i got a type r one in the back, no gsr, i didnt care it was there i bought it, he hooked it up and it fired instantly and better then it did before, car gets tuned, i sling a belt on the 2nd the end

update:

okay so i finally got fet up and took it to a shop to get a diagnosis.

the shop says its a blow head gasket. no compression in the cylinders.

they want to charge me $1400 for the whole job. replacing the water pump, timing belt and thermostat....ect.

just to do the headgasket and check the head it is going to be 455 labor + 225 for the headgasket!!!!!!! WTF!!

anyone know of any mech. that can do it for less then that in the san jose, ca area?

I dont know of any mechanics, but may i suggest while your in there, replace the head gasket with a metal one, or an aftermarket one so your less likely to go through all of this again..

Look at the brake booster vaccum line for cracks. the go from the brake booster to the intake mainfold. If there is a crack in it that is probably what is messing up the idol, making it not start. If there is a hole screws with the ecu... the other guy might be right about the fuel pump too. thats my two cents.

Would be cranking slow from a low battery.

and headgasket is definitely not 255, they're less then 100, do Not goto that shop again..
