Default Equal length on brake hard lines?

Im replacing the 2 hard lines on the firewall that run from the Brake MC to the proportioning valve with SS lines..

So my question is do those lines have to equal length to function properly?

TIA.

It dosen't matter with the OEM hardlines. But if SS lines do allow expansion to some degree, you will definently get more volume expansion on the longer of the two lines. It may be safer to run the two lines at an identicle length if your not going to do any testing to be sure...
