Valve rockers...............
I've never heard of replacing the valve rockers on a honda, but my girlfriends father(ford guy) says I must replace them when installing different cams. I'm going from b16 cams to 2000 integra type-r cams, and he insists that I need to change the rockers. Is this true, or is this only for domestics, I've never heard of you guys changing rockers with swapping cams(gsr or type-r). Can someone chime in on this, and let me know the truth and what's recommended in the honda community. Thanks
if he's a ford guy...he's most likely going from stock to a very aggresive cam so in that case yeah it makes sense, but I have never heard of anyone putting in the respective rocker set with a cam-change..i do know Ferrea makes a rocker setup, but it's mucho $$

Cool, so that's what I thought, there's no need for a rocker change if going from a b16 cam to type-r. I told him that I've never heard of this with a honda, unless it's a extreme high lift cam (300+duration w/ 13mm lift). So can anyone else tell me I'm fine with my stock b16 rockers/followers?

Only time I have had to have rockers replaced was for the third set of camshafts going in this engine. The last set cracked and left the rockers worn. Pain in the *** to replace rockers in a VTEC head. Your rockers are most likely fine. Put the new cams in and have fun
if you had to work on a lil pony car, a mustang,
then i would listen to the ford guy. until then DON"T. his tips aren't for hondas.
i had some stock b16 cams in my b16 2nd gen head, i then installed the skunk2 stage 3's when i was all motor, later i installed the 2000 ITR cams for my turbo setup that i have now. all these cams were used with my stock rocker arms. and its still ticking.

Thanks bro for the reassurance, I got into an arguement with him and wanted to make sure I was right. Again thanks
