Default NoVa: Ride your bike to work day - excuse thread!

I know everyone in NoVa usually has a excuse as to why they don't ride their bike - lets hear the ones you are using today, and vote on the best!

Oh no.....

Why dont you ride your bike somewhere and not worry so much about it instead of just looking at it in the garage and tooling around town with the front wheel in the air?

Put the dress shoes in your backpack.

Can't show up to work with wrinkled clothes on. Should have left some stuff here last night, but that would have made too much sense. Plus I had to drop the gf off at the metro.

I do ride my bike, just because i choose not to ride it in the rain, does not mean it just sits. Since owning it, I have ridden it roughly 500 miles already. while i know you do that in like a day, i have not gone on a long spirited ride yet, just cruising around town and so forth. the front wheel was only off when i was getting used to the bike.

I could do that, but boots and my dress pants = wrinkle. plus dead bugs on dress pants FTL - I pretty much come to work in a suit minus jacket and tie.

To be honest, I forgot... but I probably wouldn't have ridden anyway since it's hot and I needed to pick a package up from the post office.

Rumor had rain in the forecast for the day so I put the cover on. She's in hibernation until we get back from California. For the record: I do ride in the rain, but with packing, cleaning, and getting ready for the super-early flight tommorrow I don't want to deal with something else to take care of... like conditioning my leather.

These replies are worthless since you didn't reply to his third reason not to ride to work.
