Question on buying an ECU
I'm going to toss on my JDM d15b head onto my A6. I was told ANY 5 speed p28 ECU would work since it has the vtec. I just want to make sure that I can use any 5 speed p28 ecu. If so what cars would they come out of? So far i've seen del sols and tegras. (years too please gona see if i can get lucky at the junkyard) Also Would i be able to still use my obd0 dizzy if i just convert the wires? Thanks.

Most junkyards should have some EX civics in abundance. You will have to use the OBD1 distributor with the OBD1 ECU and also if you use the OBD1 injectors you will have to get rid of your fuel injector resistor box (silver box top right hand corner of engine bay) or continue to run the A6 injectors and keep the box they are both the same flow rate. You will need the wiring for VTEC solenoid and VTEC pressure switch and run it to your ECU or just buy a subharness. You will also need to convert to a 4 wire O2 and run the wiring to the ECU. Get an ECU adaptor and the above and you are in business.
