I have A d16Y8 $5000 FOR REBUILD
I NEED HELP I HAVE A 1997 HONDA CIVIC EX AMERICAN MODEL so its a SOHC V-tec d16y8 I WANT TO REBUILD IT AND TURBO IT SO IT CAN BE AROUND 300-400 HORSEPOWER STILL YET BEING A DAILY DRIVER> WHERE SHOULD I GOT FOR RODS< PISTONS<CAM< EVERYTHIGN PRETTY MUCH I HAVE AROUND $5000-6000. I LIVE IN A AREA WHRERE TUNER SHOPS ARE VERY RARE. CALGARY IS CLOSEST AND 8 HOURS AWAY. TMAXX_KRETCHY@HTOMAIL>COM PLEASE HELP
gord bush racing is located in toronto. You should contact him find him on the web or something. He does pretty good work. There are few machinist here that are pretty good. Your other option is to bensons sleeved blocks. Great stuff but pricey and customs really screwed me here in toronto.
If i were you i would try to keep as local as possible unless need be. JRP online sells a lot of stuff. Ask for steve Stavrianos. He's the manager there, he'll cut you good deals. Otherwise you can source out other stuff from places such as Teknotik.com, optionjdm, ultimate-racing.com My entire set up didn't come from just 1 place.
Oh there is a guy in bc i think its called kinetic motor sports.. thats close enough eh?

I had my last motor built by a guy in Denver ( http://www.tcperf.com )because he was very highly recommended. He did the build remotely, then shipped it to me very economically, and he's farther from me than he is from you, although I don't know about getting it through customs. I usually like to stay local, but it worked out well this time because the builder maintained great communications and was very professional. Here's a forum link for him if you have any questions:
