Default Help! Bad Mechanic

I'm posting this for a friend. He's only 16 and just recently got his car, a 97 4dr accord se. What happened was he ran into a curb with the passenger front tire. Took it to a mechanic who "fixed" it, even had to straighten some of the chasis.

Whats happening now is that even after an alignment and new tires, the car still veers towards the passager side. There is also a "whirring" noise coming from the front passenger wheel (my observation). It increases in noise and frequency with speed.

Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd like more information before going with him and talking to the mechanic.

Basically it doesnt matter what the problem is because the problem has not been fixed. I would even consider going to a body/frame shop to have them take a look at at it and get an estimate as well.

inspect all the suspension compoents..

look for a busted *** ball joint or play in it..

also look for cracked spring blown shock bad wheel bearing like moo said.. make sure everything is in order first.

once you check that then inspect the frame visually... after that possibly take it to another alignment place that will do the job correctly.. ask around to find out who is good in your area.
