Go to TurboD16.com and homemadeturbo.com

you are going to need to build the bottom end at least. Along with a nice size turbo. I would offer you parts of my D16Z6 turbo kit but you will not reach your goal with some modifactions.

I think your funds will limit you to a more realistic goal of 180-200whp. Provided that still is enought to dip you into the 12's.

Run a F22B1 Turbo. 2.2l SOHC VTEC.

With a good size turbo you can get 300+whp/300tq at 15 psi.

I wish it where that easy.

I think with the limited funds you have, in the hands of an experienced hobbyist they could make it happen. So it would depend on your experience level, doing a lot of the labor yourself is the only way you will save enough doe to get the good parts needed.

you can do 300whp on stock d sleeves. stock internals no. stock head yes (but a quick change of the cam and gear would help alot)

if you search the forums and watch the classifieds closely you'll be able to get some really good prices on an hmt kit. if you have a friend with a welder and do the downpipe and charge pipes yourself you'll save alot aswell

you'll end up spending a good deal on the tune tho. but that will get you the safest 300whp possible

^^ Please get out of here, you seem to be just talking out of your ***. Go back to the all motor forum

He might need pistons and rods to reach that goal. But ****, like stated with the right parts and tuning, it could possibly be done on a stock motor. Jeff Evans did it and I believe a few others have done it on a vitara/rod setup.

Agreed. Just save more and do it right the first time. While your saving, research, research, research. By the time you have the money for the best setup, you will be ready knoweldge wise.

in order to have the engine survive 300hp ull need a built bottom end.

rods pistons.

plus all the other **** that adds up when building a fresh engine.

water pump, oil pump, timing belt, bearings, tensioner, arp head bolts,

machine work blah.

then u can start thinking about the turbo setup that will make 300. even a drag kit can do it.

you can do 190-200whp on a cheap *** homemade ghetto kit. for 300whp id reccomend some econo rods n pistons, t3 turbo and a nice log manifold. run some sort of chipped ecu and your ready to rock.

And melt the bottom end...15psi on stock block is not a good idea. Yes someone has hit 300/300 on stock motor, but I wouldn't reccomend that to be an everyday or even more than 5 times a motor thing.

I agree with any latter statement of saving up money. If your goal was 200whp, your price tag would be more than do-able, but 300 on a single cam 1.6 is not something THAT easily attainable.

Like I said, it has been done, but PERSONALLY I wouldn't do it unless you had a spare. It's more of a luck thing than a motor condition thing. For everyone 1-2 people that succeed, I'm sure there's at least that that fail. I'm tempted to push my F22A6 to the 300 hp limit.

But back on topic, that would be a cool platform but in a Civic it would require just as much work as it would to get an H swap in there. For 2500 bucks you could get the motor/trans in there and maybe a few pieces of the turbo kit.

Yeah, I've got an A6 with an H23 upper plenum and throttle body with removed IAB's. I am getting plenty of air. I'm gonna freshen up this other F22 I have and blow that bitch up,
