Electrical Load Detector (ELD) off a 99-00 civic hb.
where is this or how can i fix it. i think its makin my lights flicker and dim. i read that it may also make my speedo go all crazy which itpretty much does.

where is this amd how can i fix this problem, got emissions next week.


or should i just try puttin in another fuse bos in the engine bay.. since the eld is built into that...

The ELD is built into the under=hood fuse box, so you have to replace that. But first, check to see if there's a wiring problem between that ELD & the ECU.

I don't think the ELD would cause the speedometer to go flaky. Check the vehicle-speed sensor (VSS) on the tranny.

i already have changed checked the speedo with a working one and it didnt do anything. and also changed in a wrkin gauge cluster, nothing... i have all the part since i wrk at a wrkecin yard, just dont know where the problem is at..

Its in the alternator.

look under the dash and see if the alt fuse is blown

i had this same problem and it was cause i had halos wired into my lights... i uped the alt fuse and wired the halos into the parking lights and it hasnt done it since

nvmd guys thanks, alternater/sp sensor fuse was blown... its fixed everything!

it is going to blow again eventually

udner the engine where the harness goes between the manifold and the brace it has probably rubbed a spot where the wires can ground to teh brace. usually taping it up will solve this problem.
