Default 2000 CRV brake?? grinding

When stopping we get an intermittent grinding noise from the brakes. I can't pin it down to one wheel, so am not positive it is brake noise. It is worse with the wheels turned either way from straight ahead. I did read about the differential lube problem on another post and wonder if this could be related. It has 115K miles.
Thanks,
John & Sue

i doubt a differential issue since your just stopping.
Definately have it checked out. What brand of brake pads are on it?

Thanks MooGoCow, the pads are ceramic, installed a couple of years ago by Meineke. They look good, with enough surface left to last a while. I had the rears checked about a year ago, and they were OK then. I can't get the drums off to look at them, so will probably take it someplace to be looked at.

The problem is those ceramic brake pads. In all honesty the best brake pads to use are the honda pads, they stop good for a daily driver, they are pretty much dust and noise free too.
