Default <D16 boost suggestions>

i plan to boost my crx w/ a d16 in it. i'm looking for manufactures, setups, and any cheap trix i can pull to blow away the compitition. i'm trying to stick w/ a "D" cause i wanna open my hood after blowing the doors of some stupid mustang and make him feel just that much smaller. any suggestions welcome and if anyone has leftovers or parts they don't need i don't have anuthing yet so i'm willing to buy and trade!

if u really wana make them feel that much smaller get a supercharger.. i had on on my civic hatch and it was pretty quick... and get a phat strut bar so when u pop ur hood they dont even see the supercharger sitting there (it basically looks almost like a stock manifold) a lot of people couldnt tell i had one unless they knew about cars and looked for it or heard it "wine" when it was boosting

I agree...supercharger.

I am caught between turbo and ^^.

There has been a lot of progress in the realm of supercharged d series in the last couple of years. Check out endyne and jrsc.

Vortech has a mean *** setup too.

HMT ftw!!!!!!!! much better than supercharger i think....im doing a custom setup in a b-series. but first the motor is being built from the gorund up. if your gonna do a d, i hope to god you get the block built as well. nothing hurts worse than seeing your rods through your block at 8psi(that is if you beat the hell out of the car every waking second)

edit: i also hope you get properly tuned as well. 5psi and higher on a untuned engine and you will deffinelty see your rods before you get to have any real fun.

check out http://www.d-series.org and http://www.turbod16.com. they both have a lot of introductory info on forced induction setups. there is a post in honda tech's forced induction forum listed SOHC turbo setups and dyno results. alot of turbo d builds seem to involve tuner toys H beam rods, suzuki vitara pistons, and cometic headgasket. just make sure you do your research, so you dont end up doing things twice or having to replace your broken engine all together. endyn does some great stuff with the m62 supercharger (if i remember correctly, its the supercharger that jackson racing uses for the b series motors). its all in the combo and the tune. good luck. what is your current horsepower goal?

Well you NEED to build that D if you want it to see 300 and I would go turbo to reach that

what is your build budget? any build constraints? a mini-me on boost might be a good idea unless you want to stay non vtec.
