Default Need advice on smokey Civic

My sister recently bought a '92 DX hatchback with 159,000 miles on itfor $300 CDN. It has the usual "honda rust" around the wheel wells other wise it is rust free and clean. The car runs good and drives really good put it smokes like crazy under acceleration. It has around 170PSI in each cylinder. I am suspecting a cracked oil control ring judging by the amount of smoke. I take it that a B7 can be had cheap and it would be easier and/or cheaper to buy a good B7. I am capable of putting it in myself. My Dad said he would get the rust taken care of since its her first car. So basicly she'll just have to buy a B7 (What do they go for?)

What I am wondering is what the car would be worth with the rust fixed and a new engine. I don't want her to put more money in it than its worth.

Thanks

Put in a d16y8, you can find them for relativly cheap...

I would suggest searching Toronto Civic Club, classified section
