It says "Hayame" on it. Never heard of it. Is it a quality cam gear? Or is it junk?
edit: Anyone know if they're stock camshafts?

Definitely good on the 6 bolt part of the cam gear but those teeth look a little chewed up.... Bump for more answers on teeth wear and whether or not its going to affect the timing belt.

I always thought Hayame was a ghetto Tanabe. :shrugs:
Can't tell if the cam is stock unless there are pics of the distributor-side end

I have no idea? Can anyone else chime in about this??
There were no markings whatsoever on the distributer side? The only markings on them were towards the front that were letters like "6" and "M" on one and "L" and "Y" on the other one.

In my personal experience, as long as the belt fit tight. you're fine..
my Toda been chewed up a bit from a loose teeth belt. the car still runs strong after rebuild and occationally rev up to 9500.

My roomate used a set of Hayame's on his LS/VTEC build and they never slipped, however the teeth wore down rather quickly, and caused belt slip (OEM belt, CTR cams, OEM tolerances), he threw them away.

if i was in the position that you are in i'd say to throw them away and purchase new cams and gears, we built a b18c with skunk2 cams and unorthadox gears and it beautiful, but to each his own.
