Bought a Jensen VM9510 in-dash dvd player a few months back for the trip to Vegas. Before I left, the shrink wrap around the power antenna came apart somehow and shorted out the deck. After everything was rectified, the deck's cooling fan never shuts off. Everything is still fully function except that. I'm guessing that this box might have something to do with it, or at least I'm hoping as I could easily replace these components with a soldering iron (if I can find them lol). Let me know if you have any ideas what is going on or how to fix short of sending the unit off to jensen.

 

Replacing the cap or coil will not help, all that is is a chock, [noise filter], the problem with the cooling fan may be a "processing" problem and rebooting the HU may work, [disconnect power wait a few sec. then reconnect and let the HU initialize.

If that does not work you have a problem in the unit, and it would have to go in for repairs, if it's only a few months old it should still be under warranty. 94

It was out of warranty anyway. Thanks for the replies. Sending the bitch out next monday.
