Default Intake Questions

YES i did a search for this and NO i did not find enough relevant information about it.

My question is. I have a 2003. BONE stock. I wanna put an intake on it... what is the BEST one out there... ive been leaning towards the aem V2 with the hydrolock protection thing...

i would want the cool J's CF one, but i cannot find it anywhere....

also, ive heard the terms AP1 and AP2, does that refer to AP1 (2000-2003) and AP2 (2004-2007)?

and final question, engine codes, the 2000-2003 has the F20c correct? and then the 2004-2007 is the f22c?

*****
(because i cannot post more than 5 posts in 24 hrs, i have to continually edit my original to answer/reply to previous posts)

Neverness: Thanks for clearing up the AP1 AP2 thing, but i searched again, using intake as search criteria and still pulled up only 1 thread, a DIY on how to install the J's cf Password...

thanks for the link/directions on where to find the buying forum... i appreciate that.

im not trying to flame you but i just did the same search to prove you wrong and have found this discussion presented multiple times, try using the archive search or even google. But for your other questiones finding the js intake is very simple scroll down the s2000 home page on Honda - Tech and find the thread title that states "s2000 performance part website" in there youll find numerous websites for the s2k. i know evasivemotorsports.com has it and that website is listed within that forum. now for your ap1/ap2 question your basically correct ap1=1generation, ap2=2generation both have slight changes

search, the V2 is fine, but u have to plug the drain holes up that run ablove the filter location. Also and umbrealla or sheilding for the filter is a must as well. Doing those two things will make your chances of hydrolocking alot less

Wow..talk about contradicting yourself....haha You said you would want it if you could find it...Nothing about price. The S is very effincient in it's stock form. This is why any parts that may good power will be $$$$$$$..... If you are seriously going to go the FI route...Then Get a drop in filter and a snorkel..Or just leave it stock!

Truehonda.com

Robearracing.com

just to name a couple.

Use google, it works wonders. Shop around for the lowest prices available.

you will not find torque by adding a intake, seriously, get the concept right and search harder

ya, ok, but i still want the intake! what would add toruqe that wont void a warranty? lol i have to wait for a few years till the warranty dies. For now, its just going to have to be an intake and some interior stuff... red leather seats, here i come!

BTW, im going to nopi nationals this year and i remeber from last year that they sell intakes and stuff cheaper than normal... think i can find one there for cheap? I want a V2.
