Default New Pics of the CRX-Take a look (Night pics...T- 1 hour)

Here she is:

Notice that tizite rear lower strut bar. Just did that yesterday

Anyone have any ideas for a new valve cover, or should I just paint mine?

Opinions, Comments, Suggestions? (I know the wheels are too big. I am in the process of getting either some Si or GSR wheels).

i painted my valve cover a gunmetal color, but thats because i have gunmetal wheels. just get some aircraft stripper and get all the old paint off and leave it silver. or u could repaint it black.

It took about 10 mins to do. If your rear isn't too high up, I would do it without jacking it up. Just unscrew the bolt on each side and put the bar on. I would suggest putting the bar on w/o tightening the bolts. It will allow you to adjust the bar length a little before tightening everything up. Really easy to do.

Hey whats up? Looks good, Id just get rid of the windshield banner, and the white wipers.. A friend of mine painted his valve cover on his prelude Red, it looks tight, hey did not take it off either. Yours would look a lot better painted black or red.. thats my 2 cents.

get rid of the windshield banner. and like u said, wheels are too big. other than that, good job with the car. not too crazy about clear corners either.

I thought I was clear enough when I said:

BTW, the windshield banner and white wipers are going off in about 2 days. The guy who owned the car b4 me put the windshield banner on. I was in desperate need of wipers, so I grabbed these tizzite white wipers. They were actually 1/2 of the cost of just replacement blades and I was strapped for $$$ at the time. The windshield banner is being replaced with a windowtint banner as soon as I get to my friends' uncle's shop, and the wipers are going off at the same time.

Thanks. Is that Crazy Larry or whatever his name is with the older Lude in Tavares? I used to try to race him when I had my 89 DX, but never got a chance. I haven't seen him since I got the new CRX.

It was an 89 CRX Dx. Looked just like the one I have now...except it had a lot of rust and was rollin on the 13" steelies. Does he own the red Lude with the NASTY sounding weedwhacker muffler? Not crazy Larry, I meant Nasty Nate. The word nasty reminded me of the real name.

looks pretty good. If you care for a suggestion I think it would look great if the bumpers were painted white to match the car, also i would get rid of the chrome wipers, the si wheels will look best i think. But other than that man it looks great and im sure its fast.

I am looking to get rid of the oversized Enkei's. If they're the HX (Lightest), then I would be interested in them. How many spoke are they? Also, are yours 15's or 16's, and are you still interested in selling them? I have a buyer for my 17's and am looking for 15's. If you want to sell the gunmetal ones, email me. You available tomorrow at like 11:00am? Maybe we can meet and I can check them out.

It's working pretty well. When I bought the car it had dual 4" tips coming out the rear. It looked nice, but sounded not so nice. I had to get rid of that, and the bumper was already cut so I just came out this side. I can tell a HUGE difference over the giant Camaro dual out muffler that was on there, but I don't think there is much more of a gain than just regular exhaust. The Camaro muffler was hurting me worse that stock exhaust. It looks good, and sounds really good now..So I'm happy.

I've been debating getting the whole car resprayed white...but right now $$$ is a factor and I might be getting a clean looking body kit (WW) for about $400 so I didn't want to paint it then put the kit on and have to get it painted again.

JB

[edit]

Here's a coulpe pics of my old CRX...

I got the valve cover custom painted Translucent Red. It looked freaking awesome, but I can't find the guys information who did it for me....Arggg

OBX Racing Sports. Identical to the DC Sports, but a LOT cheaper. OBX is the company I sell if you're interested...

10-4. I really want the NOS kit, but right now $$$ is killing me. I'll talk to you about what's left and I might be able to get a hold of some.

Get some **** called "Jasco" and paint it on the valve cover. wait like 10 min and use a wire brush to scrape it off.

What is Jasco, and where can I get it (Discount, Pep Boys, Home Depot?). What is it like a paint remover?
