i never wanted to post this...
honest opinions before i get into all of it... is it totalled ? i almost throw up every time i look at it.

sorry to hear that man! ive been to that kind of situation with other cars and i totally know that feeling. It looks to me that its still repairable because it does not look like the frame got damage. Just make sure you go to some reputable shop who has a lot of experience. It might be a little expensive but if your planning to keep the car for long then might as well spend an extra cash.

even with frame damage they will want to put it on the frame machine.
in the end it comes down to what you want. if your a good talker im sure you could get it totaled.

so my estimate is around $8000... now this doesnt mean jack until the frame is checked under the fender and so on... so i'm making the call tomorrow for the insurance adjuster to meet up with me
I would personally let that total out and purchase another with a straight chassis. Being a convertable they make sure the lower half is solid. If you remove the fender you'll see what I'm talking about.
