Default Help Exhaust Vibration

Ok so here is the deal I finally finished my exhaust by putting in my high flow cat. The only problem is that the metalic vibration sound that my exhaust had just got way worse, the sound first appeared after I got my new muffler (flowmaster 60 series with delta flow) put on, at that point the setup was 4-2-1 header into stock cat then into 2.25in piping back to the new muffler. The sound sounded like it was coming from the muffler but also kinda sounded like a vibration in the entire setup. But after the new cat was installed the sound got much worse and started sounding like it was definitely coming from the muffler. So I what to know what you guys think about this, is it time to chop the muffler off since it is the problem or is it just a vibration that can't be helped? If it is the muffler please let me know any recommendations for new ones, i'm looking for something that is real low sounding but still gives great flow. Thanks.

sounds like ur muffler has a broken canister and now that ur allow more exhaust out because u have less backpressure from the cat ur broken canister is getting hit harder with the exhaust... get a new muffler... u get what u pay for... buy a good muffler now some POS do a search for a muffler...

what are you talking about DelSolMarine? simply enough, just get a resonator... same components in my setup (magnaflow muffler, magnaflow hi-flo cat) and the resonator shut it all up, and the dirty little rattle too.

Well the muffler itself was recommended to me by a good friend but this one is apparently messed up, so the other muffler I was looking at was an ES Tuning oval, what about that? Comments anyone else?

axtran you think that adding a resonator will quiet it all up, what kind did you use?
