Default Drove in a T76 Supra Yesterday.

I have a technical question as well as want to share my experince. first of all boost hits NASTY hard on that turbo! and the strange thing was I didnt feel ANY lag. he punched it in first from low rpms and it was instant neck snap, no kind of hesitation whatsoever.

almost like high c/r v8 response. car was a 92 Mark III with a 2jz swap, r154 5 speed tranny, 3inch DP flared into 4 inch and an auto rear end with 3:70 gears. is it the tune or just the whole combination why it feels like it has no lag? Im guessing it has alot to do with the 4 inch because just peddling the throttle at low speeds the turbo is very noticeable, I dont think its a Ball bearing turbo but its definatley a T76. the reponse was phenominal. Why?

The r154 and the auto rear will help spool big time...Its more than likely the reason why it pulls so hard, and so fast. My lexus has a 6spd and 4.08 rear(for now), and on a 26in tire, it pulls its *** off in any gear.

I Didnt know close ratio gears made THAT much a difference, turbo spooled like a damn t25. and I'll be damned if it doesnt make TQ. car went from tank to Crx in half a second!

The gear ratio on the auto is meant for, well, an auto. The 5spd/6spd rear ends are typically 3.13 or 3.27, so the auto rear will drastically shorten each gear. Its nice having a big motor too, makes big t4/t6 hit hard I havent been in too many 76mm cars, but i know they come in pretty nice.
