Default Turbo 350Z seeking Honda Help

Hello Everyone,

I went to a non-firmal meet in San Diego and was busted by the cops. There are alot of details but I will get to the jist of it.

Basically, I was given a ticket for my non-CARB legal turbosystem in my Z. I have been stressing over the past few days and have felt like killing myself as this has always been my worse fear when going FI.

My question to you guys, especially since Hondas are frequently targetted for engine swaps and what not is this: Despite my ticket saying that I have to take my car in to be 'repaired' and then inspected by an official Smog Referee, I have been told by others that have gone through this problem that there is another option that all you have to do is pay a fine usually above $400 and that is everything I need to do.

Is this true? Is there anyway I can just pay the fine without having to go through the hell of tearing my car down to get it back to stock for inspection.

Please tell me I can just pay!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Can lawywer not help on the situation? Im not from cali but i know here, lawyers can take care of anything with enough money. The way I look at it, the government just wants money. There is a price they will "let it go".

Man, u dont need to put nothing back to stock.. N stop stressing out.. A buddy of mine had the same problem.. Fully built gsr in a eg.. Well anyways, what u can do is sell that car to a family member change the name real quick on pink slip go to traffic court tell then u no longer have it show then the pinks... Case will be clear..once they pass u go back to dmv sellt he car back to you..

I know it seem like a lot of work.. But it's worth doing.. Better than taking out the turbo and state ref.. Or pay a big *** fine with your hard working money.. If your rich like " Mike Jones " pay for it.. Lol

Im in the same situation like u.. Im gonna do the exactly same thing..
Its much cheaper than paying for that stupid ticket and taking out the turbo..

In California, vehicle transfers have to be accompanied by a smog certificate, so he would have to get it smogged anyways.

Damn....

In some instances, I had one customer report to me that his **** passed the visual part of smog because of the CARB plaques---that's the easy part.

BTW: if any of you fools need a legal smog for your turbo car, hit me up.
KEYWORD: legal... no under the table smog **** here.

California has to be the very worst state in the union....god it will be awesome when it breaks off and goes it's own merry ******* way out into the Pacific. Where else do they have nothing better to do than bust kids with exhausts? Cars that are probably cleaner running than 90% of the jank *** Explorers and Subrubans I see driving around. I mean, I could see if there weren't any other crimes going on, but for *****' sakes man.....
