Default B16 Head on a GSR block?

Was planning to sell my GSR head and getting a B16 head. Just wondering if it is worth the trouble and how much gains would I see. And I also plan to go turbo in the future will this cause problems or make it harder? Anyone have any suggestions?

not the whole story....to the OP leave your head...its fine...the b16 does flow a tad bit better...and i prefer the design of the intake ports on the pr3 head over the p72...but...your head is fine

dont sell you head for a b16 head...its not worth it. i have a b16 head on my gsr block because thats what the engine came with. if i wasnt planning on putting some ITR pistons in my bottom end i would be looking for a gsr head to bump my compression back to stock.

Actually, the P72's raised ports are a more direct shot into the combustion chamber than PR3 heads which results in better flow. However. a contaminated intake charge is a drawback of the P72 that can/should be tuned out with cam gears. If I had pixorz I'd post both ports to compared as we all are visually stimulated but I don't have any.

Ive heard that lower compression is better for Turbo-ed cars. So if the b16 drops compression on your GSR and u plan tpo turbo it, its something to think about. Not too sure on the significance of your intentions or the difference in compression to know if its worth it, but its something to think about.
