Default problems with innovative mounts

did anyone have a problem with innovative mounts how the rear mount the hole isn't big enough for the bolt. such a shame that i have to drill it out to fit and ruin the nice powder coating job just seeing if anyone else had this issue

I haven't put in my rear mount yet, but the sides needed minor 'prying' to get them in.

I hope I don't have to drill anything out....

jdm motor and usdm motor are the same thing. just check the hole on your rear mount and see if the bolt fits through its the same size as the bolt for the fron tmount so just pull one of those and try it cuz i might call innovative complain if its a common problem

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by garn &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Well I got them in.. A few problems..

1)Did not come with hardware as advertised.. No need for it, but it's advertised WRONG!

2)Seems to have come with 60A durometer urethane based on color and pics of others on their website. It is red, their pics for 60A for other mounts is red, and shows black for 75 on their website, which is what these mounts are PICTURED with..

3)Rear motor mount bolt holes are the WRONG SIZE. I had to drill them out to 1/2" to get the bolts to fit through, not sure what crack they are smoking over there?!

4) The front bolt on the rear motor mount is almost impossible to get in. You cannot use a ratchet/extension/socket because the damn mount overhangs over the hole and you will crossthread the nut on the crossbrace. i almost did this belt felt things getting real hard, so I backed off. After about 5 hours, and having to go buy a very short "snub" 17mm wrench and half breaking my wrists to get to the bolt, I got it started and all the way in.. Now I am in the process of getting the cross bolt in..

These mounts damn well better PERFORM or I am going to be royally pissed and will never buy another Innovative product, thats for sure. They are a complete ***** to install for the above reasons.

I will update on their performance.

from another prelude forum. basically sums it all up

Well, there's no need for them to come with any hardware, and that guy should have returned them when he saw they had red bushings. Mine came with black like they're supposed to...I don't even think the red is stiff enough for an H/F engine.

^but that does mean theres a good chance you might have to drill something

and i realize you wouldn't need hardware, but i guess if its advertised with it, i would kinda be a little mad it didn't come with it.
