If u get one, get one off ebay, they surely have CAI's for any Civic model for cheap. Im sure u other guys makin fun of him, sayin he's a ricer, or tellin him what he should do once asked his question too once so what's the deal???, what if he doesn't have as much money for a swap or suspension setup??

then he should save his money, and not waste it on a CAI

yes it would. would you buy a $50-$100 letter opener?

I have one because I like the noise. (call it what you wish) However, I bought mine used, so it was much cheaper. I'd never pay $200 for a new brand-name intake.

i guess, but nowadays you can obtain ex swaps for pretty cheap
and can obtain home made turbo kits for any d series engine for pretty cheap
which would be a much more effective way to spend money for horsepower
but if hes dead set on a cold air intake, then he shoudl do what makes him happy
i think they are just trying to say get some knowledge on what your doing before you go spend your money on something that isnt worth it (ie powdercoated cool looking cold air intake that doenst do very much for you). esp on a d series engine, bolt ons wont yeild as much horsepower as a swap or turbo, and these as i said come for cheap nowadays

but to each their own, if you realli want the cold air intake then search and they are super easy to install.
but if you want horsepower, search a little more and i gaurantee you will find better ways to spend your money

well letter openers wouldn't cost that much, i dont't see why ur sayin it's a bad investment, i mean ur sig says u have a CAI and therefore, I guess that was a bad investment but what ever. The guy wanting to buy it must just be startin out on his car and doesn't know much but the basics
