Steel Braided line....BROKE!
So 2 weeks ago i put some Hawk pads on my already used Powerslot rotors. All is fine and dandy. So yesterday, i'm talking to a trip to the video store with my g/f's bro-in-law and telling him about just putting some pretty sweet pads on it but not really having to put them to the test yet. Bad move.
About 1/4mi down the road, light turns yellow so i go from 40 to a stop with just slightly more than average pressure...."POP!" Pedal goes to the floor and i have to Engine and E-brake it home.
Checked my line today and it has like a toothpick sized whole in it. I think i've concluded that it was just a defective part but am looking for other opinions or suggestions! Thanks for the help......this sucks.
P.S. No kinks or odd bends and system SHOULD be properly bled.

I've had the goodridge lines for years. Years and years. I'm an old fogey.
SS lines are really just regular lines with stainless braiding on top of them. I can't venture to guess why yours would blow without seeing them for myself.

Bit of a follow-up. I think i'll say it was friction wear from the fender well or something on the suspension. Didn't look like an "inside-out" bust like i thought but after taking it completely off and inspecting it a little more looks like it was shame on me.
On another note.....if you're lowered......stick with rubber hoses unless you wanna do custom steel braided lines. There is nowhere to mount the hose other than the caliper, the hard line and the arm with the 2 bolt holes in it. Other than that, you have a long bent hose runnin around in your wheel well! I don't know how people with wide tires 205+ dont rip a line more often....anywho. Just thought i'd share some input.
P.S. I have Omni street setup, so another brand might have a mounting location for the other brake line clips.

because they inspect and repalce them far more than anything you ever would on your street car...
