Have to change the brake pads on my 06 Civic EX soon - anything special I need to be aware of? Any problems for a DIY guy like me? Be good to know before I start wrenching on it.

 

yep on the rear take off the bolt that holds the brake line for room

 

You have to change your pads aready?? How many miles are on the car?

 

42K and counting. This is my first Honda and one of the reasons I got the EX was for the 4 wheel disc brakes. Drum brakes suck. Disc brakes are so much easier to change, at least on every other car I've had. Wasn't sure about this one, so I thought I'd ask. The rears look a lot different than the front.

 

Usually the rear last alot longer then the front, are u sure u need to change out the rear too?

 

Got about 95,000 miles out of my brakes, do you drive around with the parking brake on or something?
