AC piece falls off
I hit a pothole, and a weird noise appears...i get out, and the piece of the AC mounted to the motor and belt fell off....does any1 kno what this piece is called? this way i wont look dumb at honda and i'll kno wat bolts i need....
Clarify. Is it like a quart size paint can? If so, that's your compressor. I don't know how the hell that would have fallen off. More than likely it's the tensioner. Get a new one if yours is missing. They're not expensive.

If your compressor fell off...walk bak to that shop and smile politely, then kick each one of them in their *****.
It wouldnt fall off onto the ground either, unless both the lines snapped, and you would see that, And you would have oily residue all over under your hood from ac oil blastin everywhere

Which is exactly why I want pics. I think the compressor's held in with 3 long *** bolts if I remember correctly.
I'm thinking it's his tensioner. Makes a shitload more sense than the compressor.
A lot of hardware needs to be missing in order for the compressor to just fall off.

alright well there are two things i'm thinking of.
1) A/C compressor which has a belt that attaches to a pully which is BOLTED ON to the motor
2)power steering pump which also runs off a belt and pulley.
i'm thinking it was your AC pulley that fell off, but if it was then i'm thinking the belt would have flung off too. Is this mystery object real low in the engine bay, or is it higher up in the engine bay right behind the drive side light?
if its low then its AC, if its high then its power steering but again as pointed out earlier, if one of those major components fell off your gonna get a bunch of fluid from both, and probably crap all over your engine bay area. not to mention those are both secured pretty well, you must have really clocked that bump in the road to knock those suckers loose and make them fall off.....
