power window track conversion
So I have searched and read all 10 posts pertaining to converting crx manual windows to civic power windows using the motors and regulators, and I have read this link among others but I am still confused about the track swap.

Looking at the bottom tracks I can see how drilling one end of the track will cause the wheels to slide right out. But the upper track has the holes threaded all the way through, are you supposed to grind those down???? Or is that upper track the same as the crx and doesn't even need to be swapped???
I do not have the crx regulators out of the car so is kind of hard to tell, but would like to know before I go out to do this so less time is wasted.
Thanks

compare the civic power reg and the crx one.. whatever tracks are different that you are going to use, swap them out with whichever one and install back onto ur rex
I didn't drill anything. I used dykes to bend the tabs on the one track and I used a hammer to flatten the other retaining bump. Then once it was all re assembled I rebent stuff and dimpled the other tracks.
People will tell you that you only need to replace the big track but I switched them both since the little one didn't match up 100%. Check the little plastic wheels, one of mine was damaged so I cut one off the CRX tracks and unstalled it on the Civic tracks.
It all works fine.

So when you say flatten the other retaining bump do you mean this little dimple??

think I figured it out. I can just flare the rails before where the dimple is located and then just bend it back on the crx track.
Thanks johnie chimpo and kristindumm.
