Default 3" exhaust piping for TURBO CAR.....

so my 1998 integra has a 3" down pipe...when the exhaust is continued towards the back of the vehicle, will there be enough room to bend over the right rear axle? Am i going to cut and weld pieces from a 3" U bend pipe? THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Buy a Kteller exhaust. Mine is great with a Oval Magnaflow muffler!

I fit 3" exhaust on a EF with 22mm rear sway - its doable, but not easy if the car is only a few inches off the ground in my case. I don't think your teg has the rear subframe in the way as much as mine, since your muffler was meant to be on the passenger side.

You'll end up using roughly an entire 180* u-bend. Basicly it just has to be the first and last 45* of the bend cut & rotated. If money is a concern, mild steel will be much cheaper. 10' of piping, 2 resonators, and 3 u-bends cost me $145. K-teller will be $200 (mild) plus $$ for muffler/resonator.

In that case, you should go with the kteller exhaust along with a magnaflow muffler & kteller 3"/18" resonator. The SS exhaust page hints that it doesn't incude mufflers/resonators more strongly than the opposite.

Either that or a 3" SS Thermal exhaust. I'm nearly possitive they make one for your car. I know a b20/vtec with a thermal 2.5", and the car sounds great.

I just worry about 3", since the area above the axle leaves very little room for a slightly-poor bent exhaust to bang around.

I just finished a full 3" turbo back system for my teg, It clears fine and I did it all myself with piping from summit and a gas welder, works and sounds great with $50 ebay muffler.

you might want to look into thermal. I own one and they have a deep clean sound.

The 3"/18" resonator is mild steel. I repeat don't use mild steel for an exhaust system. I ordered the k-teller 3"/14" SS resonator and it is nothing more than a magnaflow muffler. Save yourself a few bucks and go to http://www.summitracing.com and search for magnaflow muffler. You can get up to 3"/24" SS resonators. I thought I was getting a k-teller resonator!

kteller is good but it took them about 3 weeks to ship my 3" system and their customer service wasnt great either....

But on the positive the exhaust i got (3" SS) is awesome and fits like stock (and clears my rear swaybars and my car is pretty low)

Havent had it welded together yet, but people on clubrsx.com have had nothing but great reviews on it. A local turboed rsx owner only had to trim it a bit. Yeah I'm going GT35R .82 AR but not the same kit.
