Just finished up my rear seat removal...
looks like i saved about 25+ lbs according to my Bathroom scale. The backs were about 10 each and I guesstimate the bottom at about 5... Pics coming soon. Very easy to do... Although it scared me to know that the bottom is held on my 1 bolt and a couple of hooks... YIKES....
is it a lot louder on the road?
ill let you know though... The only thing im worried about is now my 280 dollar mugen bar is viewable... Oh well, thats why I have full coverage...

That doesn't look so bad!!
i'll prolly do this, i thought about having an upholstery shop make me a custom carpet to cover the metal, but the seatback stuff looks just fine.

i have since put the rear carpet back in the hatch similar to b-diddy. the carpet has a bit more traction on the spare tire cover than the blanket i was using.
b-diddy, now it's time to go after the rear seatbelts and those seat belt pads!

Does taking 25lbs out of the rear have an adverse affect on handling? I mean, the car is already seriously front heavy .. was wondering if the weight would help with anything except straight line accel
Nice....same here, just carpet in the back. Now I have to go after the seatbelts too! I hate taking the plastic lining in and out...hmmm...who says they have to go back in?
haha you guys saw my shoulder harness... Those are left over from my rice days... Along with a set of Altezza lights...
FLux- center counsol is nice especially with the Mugen **** I have. Since its a pistol grip style and Im a big guy, my elbow kept hitting the USDM one... SO i got the JDM installed
Johnybravo. The seat backs are easy. I didnt read the How to, but Ill tell you how I did it. You need just a pair of pliers.
Fold down the seats and look the outsides of them. There should be a little C shaped clip with a tab. You guessed it... Use those pliers to grab and pull right off. Now the seats should come right off.
I think Im leaving the belts because im not up for tearing up the liner and such.
The car was louder. I heard alot more tire noise...
It wa wierd backing up becasue Im used to seeign the seats when I turn around!!!!
