lightweight flywheel question???
A guy quoted this "no need for an 8lb flywheel unless ur heavily modified, might hurt more than it helps."
Now as far as I know it only helps is this true or is there only good things to come from a lightweight flywheel.

well you will be able to rev marginally quicker, and the will also drop slightly quicker, kinda like you have the AC on all the time.
BUT you will have to watch how light you go because you idle does get pretty erratic and my have a problem with stalling. you may even want to bump up your idle speed to compensate. the fly wheel gives the engine the inertia to "coast" between power strokes, it you take that inertia away then the idle will suffer

I have a 8lb on my b16 it idles nice at 550-600RPM , no fluctuations no erratic idle no stalling, I did notice increased throttle response and have not noticed anything wrong or a big RPM decelaration off throttle.
