valve cover ventilation "problem?"
I was wondering.
The "tap" on the valvecover that goes to the induction stuff. shouldnt that be blowing instead of sucking?
On my CRX Vtec (illustrated picture is from my old Eg6) this tap actually sucks air.
Red marks the spot.

yes
its supposed to suck. the air travels from the intake through the black hose into the valve cover, though the crank case, into that black box on the back of the block, up the black hose that is connected to the pcv valve, and into the intake mani

Really? Damn... I'm going to have to rebuild it then and replace all the rings? Is it worth it to do on a d15b2? I guess I'll wait until I can grab an MPFI manifold

at idle and normal rpms, it should be sucking air into the valve cover.
thats because air is being sucked out of the engine at the crankcase through the PCV and vacuum from the IM.
if there is a lot of blow by, because of bad rings or at WOT, then both the valve cover and crankcase will both that blow by out of the engine.
