I think they come with velcro on the back for you to just stick on. If not I'm sure you can figure someway out that's not too complicated.

Here's an address to a guy that did this to his Prelude, it gives how to instructions, and looks very nice, i already did the paint part, i just need to make the bracket and mount and wire it.

Tony The Tiger has a nice setup with his AFC in his ashtray location. He doesn't have the AFC anymore though. IM him and he might send you some pics.

I tried doing what he did, but it's not as easy as it looks. There are many parts that you have to trim. Some parts that need to be trimmed are parts that actually clip to the console.

I just used their supplied bracket and stuck it to the little pocket under the radio. Then I used velcro on the other side and stuck it to the AFC. That way I can take it in and out at the mall/movies, etc.

Very bad idea to mount it where someone can see it. It will definetly get stolen. A good spot is either in your glove box, or under your seat to where you can pull it out when needed. Theifs will just walk up see it, break your window and snag it before you even know your alarm is going off.

I do have to say that if you decide to install it up above the rear view would be a good spot. Its hard to see things that high inside a car.
