sup guys, my drivers side door wont shut You know how you go to close it and it just bounces back with a loud thud? I took a look at it and the locking mechanism locks, but wont come back out, i tried prying it with a flat head, but nothing happened.

I messed with the passenger side and i pushed the lever back and i heard a click, and then it wouldnt come back out either but after using the door handle it came back out and closed fine. Anyone mind helping me?

 

Go to the junk yard, and get you another one...they are like 5 bucks problem sloved...

ya, whats the part called? Im trying to find out whats exactly wrong with it and how to fix it...If replacing it is the only option in the end, i will have no choice.

 

Dude once the locking mechanism does that, it will keep doing it...Just replace it, save yourself some time!

 

replace it. usually when a small 5 dollar part goes wrong its easier just to R+R it. its called a door locking assembly
