picked up my 20th Integra type-R DC2 today. It is not much damaged, but has already a 2nd right rear side fender installed. This work was done shity. There is already rust on the inner lip of the feander and the body work is crap too. This ITR was black from factory and it will get black again after the recover.
I hate it when people are messing up ITRs like this. The seats are fucked up too, I will put in the black Recaors from ITR number 19. That color, lol...what a shame! I say BACK TO BLACK!
Work I have to do on this patient:
- get out the aftermarket steering wheel and put back the oem SRS wheel
- put on a new left side head light
- put on a new front bumper
- repairing the rear damaged trunck metall (cut out from another ITR)
- put on a new rear bumper and fog light + tail lights + metall between lights and bumper
- reparing the shity rear fender work
- get a superb paint job in oem black
- new timing belt
- new seats
- new thermostate (this one doesn't wotk it seems)
- new parcel shelf (now ther eis a crapy wood shelf with speakers in the car)

x2 I love the stock ITR colors, but this one is nice.
for restoring Rs to pay the bills.

Once you go black you never go back
Bah, more like once you go CW you never go back
that color it is now looks like our USDM 97 and up Honda Prelude.
20 ITR's...that is pretty impressive. I don't know your story. Perhaps you can share with us who don't know, what you do with these cars and what not. I know of your Ferarri chaser you drive at the track, but do you keep some of these cars? Sell them off to people you can trust only? Part them out?

Dare I ask again if you could measure the rear quarter panel thickness? It would really help a lot of ITR owners out there. We have been trying to determine the answere to this question for some time. TIA

I agree. It's hard to tell from the photos, but possibly Suzuka Blue?

Cool. Thanks for that. Nice read. Do you plan on updating the thread about the cars you got, with pictures and what not?

It's hard to tell from photos, but it also looks similar to sage green metallic, a 94-95 Accord color.
I always thought SGM would look sweet on a JDM front end Integra for some reason.

The reason it is, and I've posted about it in every thread lately you've posted is you have access right to it. Importance reason is there is a rumor (I'll call it that for now until proven right or wrong) that the ITR rear quarter panel thickness is different than other Integra models. We (a lot of ITR owners) would like a definitive answer on the subject and I figured since you go through so many, and most have the rear plastic removed that it would be easy for you to do. Hell, to make it even easier just cut a piece out and then measure that thickness instead of trying to get some sort of calipers all the way around the trunk.
