Default I need someone whose had some experience with this problem!

Within the past 2 weeks I would say? Whenever I drive hard now, going from 2-3rd gear, the car will grind no matter what. This only occurs during race conditions, and not normal driving. Last night, after 3 straight lights with just a stop and go, the clutch slipped, and didnt grab 1-2, and 2-3 on the last run (embarassing with a cavalier next to you). Didn't happen at all today. The clutch isnt that old....about 20K? And about a year ago? Could it be just that the trany fluid needs to be changed? Or A clutch problem ( doubt it since its only occuring when shifting to 3rd? I'm thinkin this problem helped me in my first ever loss to my friend's 96 328 out of like 20+.....cause of lost time, not to mention a few other factors--he got a new short shifter, better start offs and I had a passenger.

It's a common problem for Honda/Acura trannys to have a third gear synchro problem when they are driven hard. Fix is to remove and disassemble the transmission and replace the third gear synchro set. As for the slipping, that sounds like the clutch. Either way, the trans will have to come out.
