Default high flow cat, which type to buy?

I heard that catco stainless steel cats dont heat up enough to pass emmissions and I need to get ceramic coated....is that true??? what brand cat would be the best to get?

Most people usually go with Carsound or Random Technology cats. Not sure how well they do with emissions, but carsound states that they have OBDII EPA& carb compliant cats. I'm sure more will chime in with personal exprience.

YES!!! I had a carsound Cat. made by Dave at SMSP . My car was a 95 Integra GSR which is OBD 1 so they had to put it on the dyno and my car passed fine.

Oh yea i also had a DC JDM 4-1 Header and Skunk2 Exhaust!

Hope that answers you question!

My 2.5" cat from SMSP passed e-testing with flying colors. I expected to pass, sure, but I wasn't even remotely close to failing.

if you order it from dave (smsp) he will weld all of the proper pieces together for ya. mine was a custom cat - 2.5 inlet with jdm donut and 2.36 (60mm) outlet so it will fit up to my skunk2 exhaust

just pm him
