Question...
I just tried installing one of these into my R and everything was pretty straight forward except for one thing... I start up my car and all the gauges seemed to work, but then I noticed that the gas gauge moved to 'empty'. I have like 3/4 tanks left...I plugged my oem one back in and it reflects back the proper amount of gas. Do I have to calibrate this somewhere or is there something wrong?

Did you buy 98 spec Spoon gauge metres? That may be the culprit.
A friend of mine bought a jdm cluster for his Type R (w/ Mugen speedometer), everything works fine except for the fuel metre.

Hmm..thats abit odd maybe there is loose connection that could be causing that...as it should just be plug in play on your ITR in Japan.

Yep they made 96spec and 98spec for the DC2
Not sure how tell them apart except for maybe part# on there boxes maybe.
Though I still make sure if somehow a connection didn't come loose as one wire not making contact somewhere would cause fault.

Part #'s from Spoon's site.
INTEGRA TYPE-R DC2 78100-DCR-001 68,000 1 96 SPEC
INTEGRA TYPE-R DC2 78100-DCR-002 68,000 1 98 SPEC
Try using your OEM circuit board behind the metre panel.

It's a hot item.
I hear that. I would to as well in Japan as fuel is pretty high there just like in the uk.
I would check your box it came in to make sure what type you got. If it's right one and you can't find any loose wires I take it back to them unless it's used cluster.

Damn that sucks. Did you get that from Spoon or from one there dealers by the bay? Last I heard they had sold out of all the ITR clusters.

Well I would if I hadn't sold my R just recently but then again I will probably be in Japan in Jan. 03' though I need 96 R to make it work..which are getting rare these days.
I hope ya know you can just swap the gauges and the face over to your old cluster. The motherboard trick should work.. but its a lil harder imo.
