I installed my KYB AGXs about a week and half ago and everytime I hit a bump, the passenger side shock makes a noise that sounds similar to coins hitting the ground, does anyone know what this might be? My passenger side axle is messed up as well, could that be the problem?

ALSO, whenever I finish driving and turn my car off, there seems to be a ticking sound coming from the exhaust maybe? Does anyone also know what that might be? Messed up exhaust valve spring?

 

the tricking in your exhaust is the metal cooling down. When something is cold the molecules move closer together, and when they are hot they are farther apart. Your just hearing this process, it's the metal tightening up.

That sound on your ashock sounds like your spring is bouncing around. make sure that you have rubber hats in good shape at the top of the shock, and I usually use mechanics wire and drill a hole in the shock spring holder and tie the spring on. I only tie it on the bottom of the spring, DO NOT TIE IT AT BOTH ENDS. I have done it to all of my modified cars, and it eliminates the sound, as the bottom of the spring is now immobile.

PS havent you EVER heard the exhaust sound before?? I questionmed that sound when I was like 5yrs old and I asked and got the answer. I can't believe you've never heard it until now.....weird

I've heard the sound for about a year, I just never asked until I was reading something on H-T about exhaust valve springs. I dont have springs on my shocks... I am actually using ground control coilovers; should I take the same approach?
