Default Weird 'thud' when shifting to 2nd.

Twice this week, I've shifted into 2nd gear pretty hard, and instead of the tires breaking loose, i just hear a thud from the right front of the car.

I have no idea what this is and why it does it.

It kind of sounds like the suspension, but it's probably something trany related.

The same type of thud when your springs are settling. Any ideas?

Do you think they will cover it under warranty?

It should be. I know they improved the warranty for the Si. Plus, it never hurts to try since this is a new car.

that happened to me a couple of times as well. it happened when i pushed it all out all the way through 1st and hard shifted into 2nd. I also agree it is LSD related..but my buddy said i was wheel hopping when i was doing this and he could literally see it hopping. He came to the thought that it was the shocks or something due to the hopping factor..

i still have no clue. it hasnt happened in a while so i dont really know..

??
